Does Bio-Oil Really Work?
Three weeks ago I bought Bio-Oil because I heard that it could fade scars and make them less visible. I’m skeptical about its effectiveness and wonder if Bio-Oil is just another gimmick. According to the instructions, I have to apply to the scar area two times a day for a minimum of three months. I’m assuming it would take at least three months for it to work. Before my first application, I took a picture of my scar on my knee, which I got last year from a rollerblading accident, so that I can keep track of any changes. Below is an untouched photo of my scar before I started using Bio-Oil.

Initially, I wasn’t planning to blog my Bio-Oil experience until now. I thought it would be nice to share this with all of you over the course of three months as I put this Bio-Oil product to the test to see whether or not it will fade my ugly scar. (Oh how I wish I could turn back the clock to get rid of the unsightly hair on my legs before taking this photo.)
Since I’ve been using Bio-Oil for three weeks, I must say that it moisturizes well and keeps my knee soft and hydrated. The product doesn’t feel heavy or oily either. I also love the fresh, light and flowery scent of it. In a few days, I will post a photo of my scar at the end of one month of using Bio-Oil.
Due to its excellent moisturizing ability, I also started slathering it all over my legs and face. So far it’s giving me the supple and dewy skin that I always wanted. It also hasn’t aggravated the pimples on my forehead.
