Month 1: Bio-Oil is Working and Fading My Scar
As promised, here is a photo of my scar (on the right) at the end four weeks of using Bio-Oil. I’ve also included the same photo from the first post (the before picture) for comparison.

Month 1 result.Result at the end of the four weeks. This time I shaved but I couldn’t get all the hair. Sorry. Photo Taken: July 31, 2008 |
**Note: None of these photos have been retouched.
I’m very pleased with the result as I do see an improvement on the appearance of my scar. My scar looks smoother and its starting to fade. My scar still has a long way to go. At least some progress has been made and that’s a good sign. In my first post, I mentioned that I also began applying it on my face and all over my legs. I’m very glad that I did. My skin complexion has even out very nicely and the redness on my forehead has almost disappeared. Not to mention, I’m also getting less pimples. (No I won’t post my picture. You’ll just have to trust me on this. ^_^ ) Bio-Oil continues to keep my skin soft and silky without the heaviness and greasiness and I really love its fresh scent. I apply Bio-Oil twice a day and make sure that it is fully absorbed by gently massaging the area in a circular motion for a good two minutes.
According to the Bio-Oil website, it states that new scars have a greater chance of improving within a smaller time frame. Old scars would take longer. In my first post, I mentioned the instructions recommended to use the product for a minimum of three months. I thought that it would take that long to see any changes. Well it seems that Bio-Oil has been working its magic since I started using it and I am very happy. I really hope my scar continues to fade until it becomes less noticeable. I can’t wait to take another picture at the end of month two.
Well, that’s it for now. I know waiting four weeks is a long time but please hang in there. I’ll try to add some new posts during this period so stay tuned!

Hi Seena,
The Red Cross Children’s Hospital uses Bio Oil to treat kids with burn scars. I think that says a lot about Bio-Oil’s effectiveness. Don’t let your scar hang around any longer. Give Bio Oil a try and see how it works for you. It takes time for it to fade your scar so be patient!
Please keep me informed of your progress. I’d like to know the results -good or bad.
Best of luck with it.
